Training for CFF

The CFF equipment is or will be placed in classrooms. There is a wiki with lots of information on the tools, some on the equipment but you're on information overload! HELP!!!!

Several CFF teachers have expressed great ideas on how to provide professional development and training using these tools. Your ideas are needed to best utilize these tools with the students.

Please use this space to provide ideas on how to train you in using the tools and the equipment. When, where, what, and how!

Question-I already have an ILO day for this current school year. Can the ILO day option be applied for next school year or can we earn workshop pay? It is 6 hours. Thank you.

I have been working on the promethean board tutorial. First, the traing documents we had printed are ridiculous because 75% of the pages arene't there. I can't figure out why.
2nd--I really don't get the difference between a flipchart & a powerpoint.I get that the flipchart can be used to bring students up to the board but I realy just can't quite figure out how, for what I teach in social studies. Don;t get me wrong..1 or 2 ideas have come to me...but really, when will I use it? PLEASE fill me in.

I feel like a cat chasing its tail...I am set up as Susan through our English dept. blog.... I see Mrs. Barazani is Susan on this one... so I'm going to begin each future comment after my name appears with with "Goldie "says....At any rate I have spent 2 hours spinning my wheels setting up an account to take the on line Promethean course only to get completly lost on the site and never actually accessing the course...this is not any way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

mrm180- you don't have to set up your own blog page here. Contact me offline if you want specific directions on how to use blogger to create your own. I am going to begin using it with my own students. As for your ILO question - if you already have your ILO for 2008-09 you will get workshop pay. It can't go forward to next year (2009-10).

Susan aka "Goldie" - I hear your frustration. Now that I have set up a few boards, I believe you can actually complete this training on the board. I will come and help you set it up and look at this. DON'T GET TOO FRUSTRATED! :-)
